PROJECT 2: THE ARCHITECTURE OF COMICS
STUDENTS WILL INDIVIDUALLY CREATE OUR OWN PROPOSAL OF A COMIC AND PRESENTED WITH DESIGNS ANY CHARACTERS, SETTING ELEMENTS AND A SHORT SYNOPSIS IDENTIFYING THE CONCEPT/PURPOSE OF THE STORY. STUDENT SHOULD ALSO MENTION THE STYLE, TONE AND STORYLINE OF THE PROPOSED COMIC.

IN A GROUP OF 3, WE WERE REQUIRED TO WORK ON THE WORKS SELECTED FROM THE ORIGINAL PRESENTATIONS TO CREATE A FINISHED 8-12 PAGE BLACK AND WHITE COMIC.
PROJECT 1: MAKING COMICS
IN THIS PROJECT, EACH OF US WAS REQUIRED TO CREATE A MINI COMIC IN THE TRADITIONAL BOOKLET FORMAT, SHOWCASING DIFFERENT TECHNIQUES OF USING COMICS AS A STORYLINE MEDIUM, FROM SIMPLE ONE PANEL COMICS TO MULTILAYERED STORIES USING VARIOUS CONSTRAINTS TO EXPLORE CREATIVE WAYS OF NARRATIVE.
THROUGH THIS PROJECT, I HAVE UNDERSTOOD THE STAGGERED PROCESSES TYPICAL TO PRODUCING A COMIC, AND BE ABLE TO PLAN AN MANAGE THE ORGANIZED PRODUCTION OF THEIR OWN WORK. IN THE END OF THE PROJECT, I MANAGED TO PRODUCE A SERIES OF SEQUENTIAL ART MONOGRAPHS ON A SPECIFIC TOPIC/SUBJECT RELATED TO ARCHITECTURE, WITH CONSIDERATION ON HOW THE STYLE OF ART PRESENTATION REFLECTS ARCHITECTURAL NOTIONS OF DETAILING, SPACES, PROPORTIONS AND THEMES.
I HAVE IDENTIFIED ELEMENTS OF NARRATIVE IN A STORY AND TO REPLICATE/REINVENT IT FOR A NEW SETTING AND ASSEMBLED A SIMPLE 'PITCH' PACKAGE COMPRISING OF STORY, CHARACTERS AND SETTING DESIGN ELEMENTS.
